User study preliminary results

We did a preliminary user study on ten people measured the time taken it took for them to play an arbitrary sequence of 5, 10 and 15 notes. Each of this was done with and without the feedback of our tutor. We have plotted these results in a bar chart as shown:

There were 4 users for the case of 5 notes who took a little more time to play the notes with the feedback as compared to without. There was only one user in the case of 10 notes and no users in the case of 15 notes. This can be attributed to the fact that there might have been a learning curve, and the users got better at using our system with more practice. Prior knowledge of playing guitars was a confounding variable in our user study, but we observed that irrespective of this, the performance improved when our system was used.

Overall, we can observe that the mean time taken by users over each of the 5, 10 and 15 notes decreases with the help of our system.
